Overall I really enjoyed this book. (YAY!)

Elizabeth and Annabelle seemed (to me) to change a bit from their personalities in the Felicity series. In past books, I perceived Annabelle as an extremely intelligent person. Here her IQ seems to drop significantly. For example, she does not perceive the obvious (such as things Felicity and Elizabeth, who are much younger, readily see), and is gullible. Elizabeth is more outgoing and mischievous than I expected. Her personality in this book makes you understand why Annabelle doesn't like her--she's a pest!

On the positive side, it's a fun and funny storyline, especially in contrast to Nellie's book, which seemed dark and heavy in sections. I also love the illustrations; they are so much in line with Felicity's series, and it left me wanting to see more.

If you like pranks and remember doing pranks and practical jokes with friends when you were younger, this book should really bring back some fond memories. If you are young, it might give you some ideas! [img]wink.gif[/img]

The strangest chapter, however, is the one where Elizabeth gets a bottle of peroxide from Mr. Merriman's store, and decides to bleach her beautiful dark hair! (Hee hee, just teasing. [img]biggrin.gif[/img] )

Finally, don't read the "looking back" section until after you finish the book. Unfortuntely, I tend to read those first, and this one gives away more than one surprise!
